Burocrats keep getting fatter paychecks while people who actually produce wealth are taxed to the breaking point. Government anxious to force healthcare down our throats like the diseased cock of a filthy pimp. Doubled, and soon to be quadrupled deficit- even without the healthcare boondoggle. Record business closings. Government run auto industries.

Case by case, I think you get a pass if you were genuinely misled and are genuinely sorry now. On the other hand, this is the information age — even if you don’t have/can’t use the Internet, I guar-an-tee you know someone who does.

Hey!! I resemble that remark about “drunken Sailors”!! And even we had the good sense to stop spending when all of our money was gone. Seems the guberment has no problem writing checks against a non-existant positive balance. Hmmmm, I seem to recall there was another government a couple hundred years or so back, that was want for raising taxes in order to full their quickly depleting coffers, and that the “taxpayers” of that day had quite a bit of a response to that and not having a proper voice in which to effectively rebut same. (Or they were ignored as well.)

unemployment is offciially at 9.7% as of the first of the month, according to the dot.gov.
Predictions are that it will make 10% before it starts to go down.
Nothing from the dot gov now, but you bet that when it DOES start to go down, Obama will be slapping himself on the back twice a day on national TV.
I feel sorry for Joe Biden, who was given the job of making sweat reports on the Stimupalooza. His latest one was to laugh about, except Uncle Joe wasn’t laughing, he was playing it straight.
The smart money says that it is actually in the neighborhood of 18-19%.
