Culture of Tolerance
Pascal, in IM, reminds me ::why:: I am having this discussion.
There is a culture of Tolerance in this country, that creates an attitude of ‘I cannot judge those people”.
We have been taught to tolerate other’s behavior because it is somehow holy and wonderful.
He’s right, but I have this to say:
Fuck that. We did not tolerate the way the british treated us. We did not tolerate slavery. We did not tolerate the way the Germans were behaving in two world wars, and we did not tolerate the way the Japanese behaved. When something is as wrong as Islam, it is your DUTY as a HUMAN BEING to NOT tolerate it.
Sorry. The world will not be like that, within the reach of my arm.

The original concept of tolerance was, you’re full of crap, but instead of killing you for that, I’ll leave you alone so I can be left alone to be right (and you mirror that sentiment, with you being right and me being wrong). Tolerance came from centuries of killing over stuff like which way to swing your hand while making the Sign of the Cross, etc.
Somewhere along the line, that morphed into tolerance = I have to agree with your way of life and support it, and can’t criticize it, and you don’t have to respect my view at all. Yugoslavia forced tolerance, and you see where that got it.
Liberals, put some water in the pot, weld the lid shut, and turn the burner on high. Just keep it up.
Victimoguery, but not yet called that by MSM, is afoot. The below quote is from this Time Mag (Time? where hell is frozen over, that Time?) article: http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1937334,00.html?xid=rss-topstories#ixzz0WV5WvFRB
But “political correctness” inside the military, the officer asserts, insulated Hasan. “People are afraid to come forward and challenge somebody’s ideology,” he says, “because they’re afraid of getting an equal-opportunity complaint that can end careers.”
Of course it can’t be spoken of what with the likes of General Casey at top of the Army.
“Tolerate” has a negative connotation. It means that I disagree with you, what you say, and how you behave, but I won’t harm you as long as you maintain certain minimum levels of behavior.
What we have here is a “Culture of Acceptance” more often than not forced.
If we as a people, simply stop accepting the bad behavior and go back to tolerance, things will change. I would not tolerate someone shitting in the yard. Why then, should I tolerate someone killing his daughter for dating someone he disapproves of, or forcing a resaurant to change menus he disapproves of? Perhaps we should stop tolerating Islamist behavior.
On 9-11, I taught the Muslims living behind me (who did shit in their yard) the difference between tolerance and acceptance. They were having a party, celebrating the attacks on the East Coast. I went over and told them it was not acceptable. The dad told me that in their country it was. I replied that in this country, I was going to start shooting them if they didn’t stop the party. I also suggested they pack up and go back to whatever festering cesspool they came from.
Not all muzzies are deaf to the voice of reason. Their house was abandoned inside of two days. Funny thing, I never heard another word about it.

Pascal (the derivative) — CDR Salamander has a thread going on the same subject, how PC is (literally, now) killing the military:

Good for you Gerry!
I agree Og.
Normally, I’m not one to link to my own shit in someone else’s comments, but the Celebrate Intolerance post I did back in the day is pretty much the comment I want to make here….
Indeed, Grau!!! Here’s the money quote from Grau’s post:
” History is a merciless instructor, and those who ignore its lessons are doomed.” Damn, that’s nice. I wish I said that. Wait, I will!
Michelle Malkin is channeling you.
“How did Fort Hood happen, obtuse Washington asks. Simple: Blind diversity equals death. “
Neanderpundit.com is out ahead of the crowd.
And thanks Grumpy Old Ham. It is reassuring to see other bloggers had no difficulty coming to the same conclusion about **** Old Lady Casey and his deleterious effects. Now if common sense could only trickle up to the bigger bloggers and talk radio hosts.
Og: you are right. Period.

I know we are tuaght not to judge, and I won’t. Shoot the rabid dogs on site and let god sort it out.
If they are right they will live forever with 72 virgins (how can a virgin stay a virgin forever?) or he can go to my hell, which would be with 72 beautiful virgins that tell the miscreant beggar no forever. I doubt there is much difference.
People not knowing their history has to be a part of this.
I swear if American knew in 1945 what it knows now about what Imperial Japan was doing we would have exterminated them.
You can’t know shit like that and be blindly tolerant…I hope.
