Hard frost
The first really hard frost of the season. The leaves are finally all off of the magnolia tree which means I need to clean the gutters at least one more time.
I’m not as ready for winter as I’d like to be, but it could be a lot worse, the heating bills haven’t begun to get horrid yet.
Yeah, the last two things I have left are drain and store the hoses, and blow out the gutters. That will happen Saturday afternoon or Sunday, depending on the weather.
We took advantage of the beautiful weather last weekend to get the leaves up out back. It looked lovely for about 10 minutes, then more leaves blew through from the neighbors’ :)
You do heating oil, gas, or electric?
Gas. The bills last year topped $600 one month. And my house isn’t that damned big.
$600 for gas?
They’re fucking you like a tied up chicken.
I use gas heat and my highest bill was maybe $60-80.
