Will Tiger Woods realize that with a billion bucks in the bank he can dip his wick anywhere he wants as long as he’s discreet and keeps his mouth shut and nobody will ever know a thing about it?

Some people cling to that stupidity as if it were a virtue. There are still millions out there who believe the Won is just wonderful. Still people who will believe that the polar bears are drowning (!) People will still be phoning in Elvis sightings and lining up to use an E meter.

I have to quote Vonnegut here, because it’s a rare moment when he was on the mark:
