The Won
is brutally ineffective as a president, as we knew he would be. His actions, ambitions, and intentions are the very model of the worst things that can happen in America.
Climate change has proven to be the malthusian hoax that it is.
What’s next? Will Scientologists figure out that Lron was just trying to create a tax shelter? Will spandex clad 300 lb trailer girls finally understand that Elvis is dead? Will Tiger Woods realize that with a billion bucks in the bank he can dip his wick anywhere he wants as long as he’s discreet and keeps his mouth shut and nobody will ever know a thing about it?
naaaah.
Some people cling to that stupidity as if it were a virtue. There are still millions out there who believe the Won is just wonderful. Still people who will believe that the polar bears are drowning (!) People will still be phoning in Elvis sightings and lining up to use an E meter.
I have to quote Vonnegut here, because it’s a rare moment when he was on the mark:
“Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and
finds himself no wiser than before,” Bokonon tells us. “He is full of
murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by
their ignorance the hard way.” — Kurt Vonnegut, “Cat’s Cradle”

Blessed are they who know they don’t know anything, because they do a lot less damage in the long run.
And so it goes…
