Got trapped into a long conversation last night with a socialism true believer who could not imagine what kind of life I’d lived that would fill my head full of such horrible notions, like capitalism, free markets, and the rule of law.
I am surrounded by the very worst kind of fools.

I think Gerard Van Der Luen says it best about the consequences of an all encompassing Government control of peoples lives when he talks about our Bataan Death March towards Socialism along with a history lesson on Stalins “Road of Bones”:

Working on a Socialist/Communist Government Project if the economy tanks badly may not necessarily be a good thing.

If the workers must control the means of production, then why don’t they have their union pension fund invest heavily in the stock of the companies they work for? In essence convert the publicly traded company they work for into an employee owned company!
Og, if your real-life troll works for a publicly traded company, why don’t you ask her how many shares of the company she owns?
When the workers pay for the facility, equipment and power to run everything out of their own paychecks, then they can own the means of production. You’re not a snowflake, you’re a cog. Deal with it.
