The crazy is in the eyes, after all
As Tanya so rightly says.
Still: She has trouble. As someone who has had that experience way up close and personal, someone being crazy doesn’t preclude them from being lovable, or even decent. She could very well be a wonderful human being, who just happens to need some Lithium to keep her between the lines. Sure, she’d have avoided all this if she’d just left a little note, but people who are not as well balanced often don’t make great spur-of-the moment decisions.
Yeah, crazy. Yeah, she needs help. Yeah, she’s found a guy who loves her enough to stand by her, get her help. Bully for him, and her. Now, turn off the cameras and let them get on with their damned lives.

Don’t say that. There’s a difference between loveable crazy and manipulative, uncaring, torturing her loved ones who think she’s dead crazy.
She lied straight to the police and said she was kidnapped. To their faces. After they looked for her body. That’s manipulative, drama queen crazy, not good person with a chemical imbalance crazy.
Speaking as someone with chemical issues of her own as well as someone who has a brother not unlike Ms. Wilborn, I agree with Tanya — they ain’t dealing with a “lovable loon” over there. In fact — and I know you’re going to give me grief for this one, but I’ll say it anyway — I’m willing to throw out the Scott Peterson comparison. Would she kill someone? Perhaps not if she was able to cave so quickly to the cops. But there are sociopathic similarities.
Maybe. Maybe HE’s the one who’s the psychopath and she’s realy just trying to get away from him- but we’ll probably never know. I DO know, she’s obviously got something going on, and needs help, but will she be able to get enough help? Is her condition treatable? One way or the nother, leave them the hell alone.
Leave them alone insofar as the publicity goes. She should’ve been charged and sentenced for her duplicity. Will she get the help she needs? Only if she admits that she has a problem.
The whole thing disturbs me almost as much as that woman (Susan Somebody) who drowned her kids in a car and tried to make it look like a carjacking. The disconnect with reality is there.
All’s I can say is that if this dude goes ahead and marries this loon, he deserves the lifetime of hurt he’s gonna get…
(It was Susan Smith in SC, I believe, Jay. Just helpin’ out ‘nother Jay…) :)
