I’m a little surprised
but not a lot- that I still get a steady stream of hits from Gut Rumbles, a dead guy who still has a ton more traffic than I do. I never met Rob though we spoke in email and in the blogs. I still wish he was around. I miss his unrepentant RobSmithing. If I could be half the curmudgeon he was I’d be able to make money off this blog.

Likewise. He’s one of the ones that, in his passing, substantially changed the blogosphere.
And that not for the better. It really was a more interesting internet with him in it.
Truly, one of a kind. A small man, but a giant, nonetheless. A rare combinaton of heart and balls, and talent.
I’d literally give up a nut to have him, and his commentary, back with us in these “interesting times”.

He was one of my favorite bloggers of all time; I still miss his stories and viewpoints.
Fucker still gets more hits dead 3 years than I do alive. We are fast approaching him being dead longer than he blogged.
Just Damn!
He was the stuff dreams are made of. I would have loved to have met him. As with most folk, will have to be satisfied with being allowed to share in the parts he shared with us via his blog.
He lived life large, taken in large chunks, we are all poorer now that he’s gone, but rich in his shared memories.
I miss Rob. He was a lot of fun to chat with…drunk or sober.
Thanks for the link to this awesome site. I just read this….

…. and absolutely agree. I am NOT a musician but I totally understand.
Two co-workers of mine were once arguing heatedly over who sang the song “How do I live” better; Trisha Yearwood or Leanne Rimes. I thought about it for a minute and said, “Whenever I hear Rimes sing the song I’m impressed by her vocal range. Everytime I hear Yearwood sing it…. I begin to cry.”
