Well, for the rest of us, anyway.
I read the Noonan piece and liked it. She made Obama out to be the unlucky guy who’s more inept that unlucky: the way people who keep getting DUI’s instead of not driving after drinking, or people who don’t know why they’re broke as they have a mortgage on a Mcmansion and three cherry new SUV’s, along with cable TV and eating out every night instead of living within their means, are unlucky. Especially when she showed how Clinton had eight years with no troubles but for his own making, while poor Obama the man-child actually had to deal with “grown-up” problems. Almost like she was patting him on the head and saying, “poor widdle baby, you had to deal with big man problems and couldn’t be a second Clinton, so sad.” And saying Carter needed a crutch (Nixon) and Obama needs a crutch (Bush II) to likewise make his election have meaning, I mean, bam! Neither has gravitas in his own right, so each needs a bogeyman to give him meaning. Talk about damning with faint sympathy.
Yea, mts1, Peggy Noonan appears to be doing her doody by pampering her choice of President with the smoke screen of being ‘snake bit’. If she keeps this up, President Nero Obama will get a bad case of diaper rash.
Gee, if I had a little problem and didn’t do anything about it, I could be ‘snake bit’ too if I did nothing about it (a small fire can eventually burn a whole house down). He spends more time playing golf and making speeches WHILE being president than any other that I have known – and doesn’t seem to be trying very hard to be trying to solve the problem aside from trying to talk to some expert ‘ass-kickers’.
