WHat a marvelous friday I had!
From that magical moment in the morning when I dropped the daughter off at school and handed her her first mortgage payment tuition check to give to the bursar, to the nice conversation I had with the police officer about the shape and color and purpose of stop signs, to the old machine that I got to bring back to life learning obsolete new and different technology to do, to the runaway drive that nearly caused some excitement when a 2200 psi burst strength hose got 3500 psi, making it the size and shape of an anaconda who just ate a volkswagon, to all the hundreds of thousands of nice folks I shared the road with on the way home, to the wonderful scenery I saw while sitting stopped in traffic liesurly driving home, I cannot imagine a better day.
On the other side, i ate Five Guy’s burgers last night. Not bad, but not as good as Schoops.

5? There I was watching Man Vs. Food and you were out kicking his ass.
Plain old venison burgers, beans, mustard potato salad, tea and brownies on the menu tonight.
Og, where’s Five Guys? I think we’ve got the same commute and yeah, Friday’s was sooo much fun.
Five guys is in the parking lot of the schererville walmart. Used to be a Blockbuster Video store.
Back in the day, as a yute, I kept Popsicles and Cokes coming by mowing lawns. There were a few steep ones, and I learned to mow them with the aid of a rope, tied on something stout uphill, and swing the mower through an arc, which I reduced by taking turns of the rope around the engine of the pushmower. Yes, it still ran that way.
I had a Five Guys burger a week or so ago. It was ok, and I liked their guarantee that they cook them thoroughly. Other than that, the place was Godawfully noisy and too brightly lit, and basically just designed to get on one’s nerves. Maybe they’d be better as takeout, which I’m sure the environment at the shop was designed to encourage.
