Years ago, the National Enquirer
got sued often enough that their fact checking became damned near second to none. So in matters of Gossip, I tend to trust the Enquirer more than anyone, because if they print it, it will probably hold up in a court of law.
Seems the Onion is following suit, in being a more and more and ever more realistic presentation of current events.

Nice. Why not expound on how close the onion is to the truth? With the radical Leftists and the phony Rightists Statists tightening their vise on the rest of humanity, isn’t it yet time to jump out from the jaws of the vice and surround them bastards.
And knowing my luck, the day after all this is figured out, I’ll “win” the MegaMillions lotto. Now if they paid out in gold…
