Class warfare
The nation has been preoccupied for a long time with an “us vs them” mentality, based on a republican “us” and a democrat “them” but the truth is dawning on more and more people that “Them” is the priveleged ruling elite. “They” have a vested interest in keeping their positions and imposing whatever restrictions are necesary to do just that; we, for the most part, just want to be left alone as much as possible. Angelo Codevilla says it much more coherently than can i, you should read the whole thing.
Remember: Since the dawn of time, anything government touches invariably eventually turns to shit. It has reached out and touched us, finally, in ways we cannot shake off. Are you willing and ready to make the transition?
The “Ruling class” has already fired many shots; their weapons are their ability to control our lives without our consent, and the battle is nearly already lost to their tactics. The ‘Country class” needs to get up off our asses.

Not sure what we need to do. If we kick them out and they do not repeal Obama Care, I say hang them all.
A bloodleting will be very necessary. How many are willing to get up and leave or lose everything? This will not come cheap. Or shall we just continue to blog and bitch? Fuck it I’m old and tired, let’s leave it to the kids. Nice some are at least starting to Think. I for one do not want to leave this fucked up mess to my son or grandson. Time IS short. Make up your mind, what is most important? Your mortgage, or your birthright? Thier gonna take both.
I’ve been quite impressed with the response to Codevilla’s essay both at Free Republic and particularly at Belmont Club where I gently needled Wretchard before he wrote a more full blown treatment of his own.
For my part, I took the essence of Codevilla and came up with a simple bumper sticker that could go a long way to retiring McCain once and for all. May he be the first in a long line of retirees.
Emdfl: OTOH, given the depth of condescension emanating from our ruling class that surely rivals that of the French aristocracy, I don’t see them leaving ballot box integrity any more sacrosanct than they do our other rights. So lets hope that Obama’s new national police force has the good sense to know how the French garrison at the Bastille responded.
A lot of my friends insist that the nitwh and his thugs will come up with a Krystalniche just before the midterms. I’m kinda hoping they do try something like that as then the Kosovo rules could come into play.
Interesting that so many people thought I was reactionary and over the top a few months ago….Now, so many are beginning to think along the same lines.
I sincerely hope that things can change without such a revolution. I doubt it, but we can hope that there can be a resolution without bloodshed.
