I haven’t commented on this because those who know, have it grokked, those who don’t will never get it.
Islam plants mosques, as often as not, as landmarks of conquest.
That’s all this is about. period. Rubbing our noses in the fact that they have destroyed a huge piece of real estate, and hiding behind their twisted theology so that they cannot be held accountable.
Islam is toxic to human life. The core document of islam is the Koran, and the Koran orders it’s adherents to do these things. if you can’t get that through your skull you’re just another sheep and I feel sorry for you.
The mosque should be built after muslims pony up the money to rebuild the WTC and restore it to it’s previous function. And the basement of the mosque should be a hog slaughterhouse, paid for by the muslims too.

I MIGHT be willing to accept their Mosque, if they weren’t planning on opening it on 9/11/2011, the tenth anniversary of the terror attacks. For a people as consistently offended by nothing as they are, they sure don’t seem to mind offending anyone else.
Exactly right! This is not “just another religion wanting to build and other church/mosque/synagogue. This is an (continued) act of aggression carried out by those who seek to dominate this country and our culture (along with all the other infidel countries and cultures).
For those asshats out there who insist it isn’t a “mosque”, it’s a “cultural center”; fact is – there will be a mosque incorporated as part of the “total cultural center package”. So, stand alone mosque or not, there is still going to be one there.
And as a side note, if the Islamists can build in that neck of the woods (regardless of the reasons why), then shouldn’t the Greek Orthodox folks be allowed to re build their church which was destroyed on 9/11?

I agree with DirtCrashr, and also ask for the cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Damascus, all the monasteries and churches in Turkey and Egypt, and North Africa, which had been the original southern Europe. Then, most importantly, I’d expect them to back off and not kill people who choose to revert to the Old Faith. I can only wonder and marvel at how many muslims would either re-Christianize, or just secularize, if there was no death threat universal to all of dar al islam on their head for doing it.
