Have been concerned about the vibration in the front of the Exploder for a while, figured it was just a crap rotor, but it turns out it’s a balljoint. Sonsabitches. I’ve replaced BOTH the mothers several times. Are they making them out oif tinfoil?
Not even remotely interested in spending the rest of my life replacing lowers. Gonna get a damned genuine Moog and hope that’s the end of it.

Og, is your explorer an Eddie Bauer edition? Saw one on the slab the other day, green with indiana tags. Thought about honking, but knowing you, that might not have ended well.
Not eddie bauer. Sorta oblivious to honks, so many people do them for no apparent reason, when I hear a honk I usually just make sure nothing is bearing down on me and then ignore.
You might try buying a set of high-performance joints and bushings. Can’t remember the brand name of the one I used to install on the fun cars, been too long since I played, but they were poly-urythane IIRC and they didn’t break down under serious stress.
