Four more inches
of Global Warming this ayem.
Last night was 3 hours getting home. Not a record, by any means, but very annoying.
When I spend a lot of time in a car like that, especially in crappy weather, the vertigo really messes me up.
Once upon a time, I did a lot of high work, and I think of how dangerous it would be to walk the 6″ highway these days. This is why I don’t go out after my private pilots license, though I love to fly.

We got around the same amount of Global Warming over here, too.
Right now we are having freezing rain drizzled on top of a seasonal total of 34 inches of snow.
Oh… and the 1st day of winter is today. :)
Right near 4 inches of the powder out here in the hinterlands. Soon as I finish the morning cup o Joe, and take the morning constitutional, out comes the snowblower.
yeah, I did the snowblower thing at four thirty
If I would not have been so concerned about the neighbors and the m-i-l trying to sleep, I would have done it late last night, while it was still fresh (it stopped around 10 or so). But the drive is now clear, and with the temps going to be in the low 30’s tomorrow, we should have nothing but pavement … until Christmas eve when we might get 2-4 more inches of the stuff.
Was in the high 70s here in Galveston today, and Houston got up to 82.
To be followed by a brutal cold front dropping into the low 50s for the later part of the week and weekend.
Me, I’m breaking out the parka and mucklucks. I hope I survive the arctic conditions.
…… and all snark aside, I truly feel for all you up in the frozen north. I’ve had to endure my share of that (thanks, USAF!), and learned to deeply, truly hate it.
I love cold weather for deer hunting, but I can enjoy it just fine without multiple layers of snow n’ ice rendering the roads and trails nothing more than meandering skating rinks.
