It is a source of boggleage
how people- especially people of Conservative persuasion- will rail about how Muslims and their religion of peace should be tolerated, and are simultaneously all up in your grill about how Chrisitanity is the root of all evil. When it is clear and obvious that they understand neither. And will not bother to have a conversation on said subject that they might learn, knowing it all, as they do.

Conservative?
Yes, conservative. Just about every conservative atheist/agnostic I know acts just like this.
Don’t know that I’ve encountered that with Conservative atheists/agnostics, but sure have with Liberals. I just chalked it up to cowardice, insulting Christians generally doesn’t get your head cut off.
Liberals I don’t give a shit about, they’re animals anyway, so let them lose their souls. No, I’m talking about conservatives who are anxious to quote chapter and verse of all the evils religions have done, (Though that’s asinine on it’s surface) and by that supposed reasoning point out that ‘islam is no different”.
I saw it just recently, but I think the lean is more “libertarian” than conservative.

Dunno. I think I’m conservative and I can’t wait for Cowboys and Muslims. Loved that game as a kid. Can’t wait to relive my childhood.
I must be the exception. I think the wrongs Christianity has wrought are far outweighed by the checks in the societal plus column, while I wouldn’t mind seeing Mecca and Medina reduced to radioactive rubble in the least. Or better still, doused with several thousand gallons of VX every 3 months so the cities act like the world’s biggest roach motels.
Then we would have a reason to celebrate the haaj as well.
Islam has done absolutely nothing but make human existence more miserable for the entire length of its history.

Most of the conservatives I know are halfway to nuking the middle east and drilling for oil through the glass.
Personally, an an agnostic libertarian fiscal conservative, I think Islam is the most dangerous political movement in the world today.
Christians don’t scare me. You guys have some weirdo extremists, but they’re pretty well held in check by the sanity of the majoriity.
