No, I’m green with envy at Partner’s recent purchase of an engineer’s bayonet for his 1911 Swiss rifle.
Yes. It’s two feet long. And perfect.
The only thing that has prevented me from getting one in the past, was the lack of useful info on whether this would fit on a K31.
Not only does it fit on a K31, the K31 loves it, and wants to have it’s baby.
Now I have to look for one.
Partner actually left the damned thing here last night. and trusted I’d return it to him.
As I handed it back to him this morning, I told him, “it’s a good thing I love you”

The only thing that has kept me from buying one thus far has been the fact that it’d be cheaper to buy another K31. ;)

This cost less than my K31. And I bought it when AIM surplus was just about giving them away. The part that may hurt the most, is the fact that I negotiated this deal.

Yep. What’s freaky is they made a “Musician’s version” I thought, what the hell kind of Musicians do the swiss have?
I eventually discovered that the musician’s version was a dress sword with the baynet slot filled with wood.
Damn. Instant display rifle with that beast attached.
I had two K-31’s, and gave one away. My remaining Swissy is a tack driver, and deserves to have that bayonet for company.
I saw him put it on his rifle. The damn thing fit like it was precision-machined for the thing.
Og, you think you’ve got it bad? I don’t even have a rifle to put the thing on and I want one. *sigh*
I remember when Mad Mike W. posted that reworked bayo on THR. Instant lust. I’d love to have him build me one, but it’d gall me too much to use such an incredible original bayonet when I could hang it off my K31.
At least I’ve got the standard bayo for my K31 baby.
