The case I bought at Indy
for the M1 carbine, is a doozy. I had waffled about buying one of the import imitation wool-lined “original style” ones, but the “Made in America” sold me, and the little korean guy who sells them cut me a $5 deal.
I brought it home and stuck the gun in it, and forgot about it.
Tonight I took it out, and filled the pouches on the side of the case with loaded magazines, and put the bayonet in the provided zipper pocket. Now I have a light carbine, with a hundred rounds of ammo, in a case with a shoulder strap.
I’m not of the “survivalist” type, but holding that pregnant little case in my hand gives me a good feeling.

Whudya do whit de cane?
Put it up against the corner in the dining room.
That is a warm fuzzy, isn’t it?
The case, loaded-up like that is a Good Thing.
