Keep ’em in your prayers

Japan has been devastated, the extent of the devastation as yet unknown.

As Israel is the canary in the coal mine of the mid east, Japan is the canary of the Pacific rim.

I was the canary at work. Got canned and last I heard most of what I predicted has come to be true.

Being a canary sucks.

It is indeed sad that Japan has been washed away. Have to see how they handle it.

They are. But when the canary makes its warning, it is by dying. It is tough being the canary.

Sorry to hear that you lost your job man.

Telling people what they don’t want to hear is cold comfort – but soemtimes it needs to be said.

I just finished watching a video of people in a Tokyo skyscraper on the 22nd floor riding out the Earthquake from there.

I felt great pride in the achievements of science watching these people ride it out and have the building withstand the tremors.

Construction has come a long way, but considering the damage elsewhere, there is still a ways to go.
