Dizzy Gillespie
Labyrnthitis and otoconia flopping around in my inner ear combine to rob me of my balance, I had to practically crawl to bed last night and take meclizene so I could sleep.
In other news the Gulf oil spill seems to not have caused EVERYONE TO DIE and the prius accelerator issues seem not to have caused EVERYONE TO DIE and the Japanese reactor scrample seems not to have caused EVERYONE TO DIE and oh, by the way, gloebull warmening doesn’t seem to have caused EVERYONE TO DIE.
Even in your personal life- unless it is somethingh thatr actually causes you to die- there are very few things that can happen in life that don’t seem like the worst thing in the world when they are happening, but once they’re past, are just another memory.

Good luck with the ear thing, Og. As someone with ear “issues” I get the dizzies sometimes. My wife hates it when I go all, “Brace yourself, the bedroom has turned into a turntable!” in the middle of the night. And thanks for the blogging — sometime trainwreck, sometimes sheer poetry!
Daniel: Do you do the epley manouver? Have you done any of the exercises?
Hi Og, I have not tried that. Mine seems to be related to some kind of sinus-type pressure from within, and responds to (real) pseudoephedrine (you end up on a registry in Calif. to buy it – another list I’m on!) and ibuprofen. But I don’t take the medication after about 2PM or sleep WILL NOT be forthcoming, so on rare occassions I get all flipped out. I “joke” with the Dr. that it’s the left ear because my dad tended to lead with a right hook…
