Surgery tomorrow
If everything goes well, by this time tomorrow I will be duct taped down to the cash-extraction chair having my wrists slashed. As this is an outpatient procedure and performed under a local, I will no doubt have to be heavily sedated- while my hands are shredded with scars, the idea of having them deliberately sliced open skeeves me out. So I’ll be given a shot, no doubt, to keep me well in dreamyland.
I’ve produced a small powerpoint presentation for my captors surgical team that explains the meaning of phrases like “shaved goat” and “lubricated midget”, as well as a hold harmless form should I actually begin blabbing about the weekend with the Archbishop of Canterbury and the 372 rock cornish game hens. Don’t want to damage the poor man’s reputation.
I intend to eat very little, and what I do eat is chosen for it’s self-wiping properties. I’m also following each meal with a large wad of Charmin so it cleans on it’s way out. While the Ogwife certainly seems to love me, I’m not sure she loves me enough to wipe my ass for three days while my hands heal.
I also intend to cajole Vman into masturbating for me while I’m disabled. Adding the extra four/day to his already high workload will probably be tough, but he’s a trooper and I have faith in his abilities. I may need someone to independantly verify he’s working to my standards, though, as I don’t think he has a webcam.

I wish you the best.
May I make a couple of points?
1) Now you get to check out all the little gears and pulleys that make your fingers work, and
2)”jets in the jacuzzi”
enough said?

Good luck Og! If you need anything (not including wiping your ass or masturbating or anything else having to do with bodily fluids) give a call (as I recall, your nipples can dial Himself’s number so you won’t have to use your hands)!
Good luck. Preposition as much as you can. Liquid diet might be helpful.
Any reason why you are doing both hands at the same time?
Stubbornness.
Godspeed. My MIL had the operation and it helped her tremendously.
Wait. 4/day? You’re gonna need that same procedure done on your Hoo-Ha, Son.
It helps to cry when you are scared. Try it.
Remember: the light side goes next to the skin.
Prayin’ fer ya.

Best of luck, Og.
“It helps to cry when you are scared. Try it. ” If that ever happens, I’ll try to remember. Meanwhile, I’m too annoyed.
Stop by the Produce section of the Supermarket, ask them for a partial roll of those thin plastic veggie bags to use as hand covers. That’s what one of the recovery room nurses told me to do when I had my bilateral carpal tunnel release about twelve years ago. They work.
Also, the first thing I did when I got home was to remove about 95% of the bandages from my hands. I think my surgeon had stock in a tape and gauze works in Bangladesh or something.

Hope all goes well, Og, and that you’re soon back to wiping your keister with aplomb, if not toilet paper.
All I want to say is if my wife can change bandages on my testicles. I’m sure your wife can handle some a$$ wiping. I bet she’s just not ready to see your junk hit the water. Good luck tomorrow… :-)
Who cares if you can wipe. Will she sit there and type while you dictate posts? Will she be able to type on your PDA when you get e-mail from work?
I’m not sure she loves me enough to wipe my ass for three days while my hands heal Reminds me of the joke; armless guy goes into the bar, and a couple of patrons feel bad for him and buy his beers (they dig the necessary funds from his pockets) and holds the glass so he can drink fine. When he asks where the urinal is, they promptly say, “Go out the door, turn right, see the gas station, over there. We’ll be here waiting on you.”
Best wishes.
Good luck.
I hope all goes well and that you have a speedy recovery.
Thanks, all, for your good wishes. I’m sure it will be a nothing. I just hope it makes my hands better.
Sounds like you have a full weekend planned…
All the best and a speedy recovery.
Of course, you’ve my best wishes for a good outcome and speedy recovery. I don’t envy you the surgery.
Conversely, I also extend my best wishes to Velociman for his upcoming carpal tunnel surgery for repetitive motion injuries.
