yaay! No more st(itches!)
Nurse yanked ’em this morning. As someone who has had their fair share of stitches, I can promise you, the subcutaneous suture on my right hand was some of the nicest work I’ve ver seen. In a month the scar tissue will be nearly invisible, it will be completely hidden by a crease in my wrist. The left isn’t quite as nice, I think one of the stitches pulled through and allowed a segment of the incision to open a bit, but it will still very nearly go away.
Doc says I can go back to work anytime next week(!)
he also says the soreness etc. can last as much as three months. I was able to make a good fist on Wednesday, but it might be another week before I have the chance to use it on anything.

Gimme a call. I have a list of folks. They are academics and are soft and weak so you won’t hurt your fist on them.
lol.
Actually, I usually toughen up my knuckles by hitting bricks and buckets full of sand, but what the hell. maybe start on the soft academics and work my way back up to the tough stuff.
Yeah, start on the easy targets so you don’t have to strain yourself…. ;-)
Yay! Congrats on the good progress (and prognosis!)
Damn, OG you start on something as soft as an academic and it could be years before you are up to balsa wood…..
Plus it would be hell to get off my fists.
I’m just glad it all healed up well! Good on you, Og!
