No good deed goes unpunished.
Following a guy back from a side gig on country roads, and he came to a complete stop ahead of me, I had to swerve.
He was pulling a big gooseneck float with NO WORKING LIGHTS!
I pulled up along side, rolled down the window and pointed back at his trailer. “You have no trailer lights!” he flipped me off and turned off road.
I mean, maybe he was having a bad day, but sheesh.

Had a guy turn the wrong way down a one way street in an 18-wheeler. Same result when I tried to alert him of that fact.
On the way home tonight, in the first rainfall event in two months, I came up on a Chevy pickup with his flashers on. He was going about 20 in a 45mph zone on a 3-lane divided thoughway, in the right hand lane, amazingly. As I closed the distance, it looked as if he was being towed by the car in front.
Wrong. He was pushing a Grand Marquis with no lights. At an intersection, they executed a right turn just in time to make the light, and at the next traffic signal he had enough momentum to shove the Mercury out into the intersection in a sweeping right turn against the light that took full advantage of another three lanes of traffic, with enough left over that the sedan was able to cut back into the curbside lane in between several cars who rightfully had the right of way.
I was staying well out of the splash zone, but I really wanted to follow them and find out what dashboard saints they were affiliated with because so far it seemed to be working in spite of their best efforts.
Last night a woman lost a wheel cover turning left in a heavy traffic intersection. I pulled up at the next light and motioned to put her window down.
She took another drag on her cancer stick and complied. I told her what had happened. No thanks.
When I left the light I saw her (in my mirror) pulling a u-ey! In a busy intersection!
