As much as I would like
to take the morons of the world and tune them up until they understand common sense, it’s not going to happen, and it’s not going to fix anything (Unless of course I tune them ALL permanently, which… don’t get me started.).
People like P.J O’Rourke and Dennis Miller manage to get people otherwise not inclined to do so, to listen to them, sometimes, because they use humor to make their points. The people listening laugh, and think, hey, maybe the emperor IS naked… and they associate that good feeling (Laughter) with the knowledge they’ve just acquired. In this way, more people were brought to the truth with the chortle than the sword, and so slowly the tide could turn.
Problem is, the MSM is such a huge,. loud force, and the talented voices are so few. Not many among us bloggers have the skill, and even if we did, it would involve soiling ourselves with contact with the filthy beasts. Ick.

Seems to me the emperor is just bareassed naked any way a person chooses to scrutinize him. He’s us.
Tuning morons has to begin with the novel idea that we, personally don’t fit that description, which requires looking at ourselves in a carefully compartmentalized way. We usually manage it anyway.

That “main stream” is polluted. Most folks can see the turds bobbin’ along, circling the eddies. Decaying sedimentary material piles up on the stream bed, sending up bubbles of gas, emitting the stench of putrefaction. Don’t matter if you’re standing on the right bank, left bank, or up to yer eyeballs midstream … i dare anyone to take a deep drink, and declare that “Yep! Here flow the waters of Truth!”
Need we educate these fools?

Thomas F Madden (the writer of the article) was the only non-retired Professor of the History of hte Crusades that was not retired when 9-11 occurred.
Its funny how his version of history was not in the history books we read in high school.
