another hairy freak and evolutionary dead end, The other Steve, Steve Wozniak, who turns 61 today.
To look at him, you’d think he’d not be able to figure out a can opener, let alone build a computer, but hey, he did OK for himself. And he escaped from ILand before it came to world domination.
He’s actually and interesting fellow. I had the opportunity to lunch with him when he was a speaker at a convention which I attended. (few of the other attendees knew, really, who he was). We spent an hour or so talking about many things, and he is a thinker. A bit strange, but a thinker nonetheless.
Kinda like talking with you, only he is a bit more…..disconnected.

Woz did have the pronounced disadvantage of growing up in the pedestrian, lumpen-proletariat flatland of Sunnyvale, while Jobs was an member of the uber-Elite, an affluent Los Altos kid.
