If you never had chronic pain
you cannot imagine what a blessing it is to sleep through the night. Three months post surgery, I have a few little twinges in the hands now and then, but nothing like the BS I used to deal with. And I can sleep all night long, except for the occasional pee break.

Lucky bastard. Right now I’ve got twinges and tingles in my toes from the post-op bandage being wrapped just a little too tight over my instep. No big deal, except I wore it for two weeks. Experience tells me the nerves will recover on their own, but until then, the slightest brush against the tops of my two littlest toes feels like rugburn. Ees no fun.
yeah, it’s a bucket of suck. But the good news is you will completely recover, and that’s a big deal.
YAY, congrats, Og! I’m happy for you and I hope that it keeps getting better until even those twinges are a thing of the past.
you will completely recover, and that’s a big deal
No need to tell me. I wouldn’t wish true chronic nerve pain on anybody.
“Aches and pains remind us we are alive…”
And if I ever find the dude that said that…..
I guess I consider it a badge, means we busted our butts over the years. Built stuff, helped others, made a contribution.
Wonder what kind of aches the couch and video generation will experience…..????
Thumb pains from texting too much 9_9
Sleep. Good. I want some.
Yep. Post 2 knee surgeries its better. That’s enough.
I think it was one of Ringo’s books, a doctor jumped all over a guy about “Saying ‘pain is weakness leaving the body’ is fine when you’re operational; but when you need to heal, pain is BAD” or something like that.
