Of course
now that we have a trailerload of hardwood waiting to be stacked, it rains like a horse pissing on a flat rock.
At least I have the wood under tarp. Hopefully I can get it all done in the next couple of days so Mr B can come get his trailer back. I ought to just toss it out of the trailer onto the ground but if I had the ambition to do that I’d stack it.
My dr told me last night to take 1 gram of tylenol (Two tablets) and 600 mg of ibuprofin. Seems odd to be taking such a handful of tablets but I did it, and feel much better this morning, not nearly as stiff. Seems that recent studies have shown that the two together do a better job of handling pain than either alone, the combination of the NSAID properties of the Ibuprofin and the APAP being the magic bullet that some people say reduces pain as effectively as darvon.
As I cannot handle narcotics, I appreciate the information

I’ve been using it for about a year, works great.
It works well for me- my sawbones recommended that combo after my second knee surgery, and it controlled the pain better than the Vicodin did after the first surgery.
It’s not just your trailerload of wood; it’s also my motorcycle that is causing the rain.
Because I’m on Warfarin as a result of atrial fibrillation, I can’t use NSAID’s so my sawbones has me on Tramadol or acetaminophen (Tylenol) not both. They work, sort of, but the Tramadol puts me to sleep for as long as 24 hours. I dasn’t drive or use any kind of motorized machinery for that long, as my feeble lil’ brain cell can’t handle it. At least while I’m sleeping, the pain is tolerable.
This gettin’ old BS Sucks, Majorly.
I decided to take my dog camping over the weekend. It was great, rained the whole dang time so we spent it sleeping and reading. Sometimes that’s the best camping. No bugs, dry firewood and lots of food. My pit, Bella, got pork steaks and lamb chops, I got beefsteaks and landjagers and Obsidian Stout to washd ’em down with. We drank nearly three gallons of coffee. I wonder how many dogs like coffee? Bella takes hers with a little milk, no sugar. I like mine with a little sugar, no milk.
I started combining them 20 years ago for a back injury, but it made me nervous. Then a few years ago an ER doc told me they do it for children – must be safe, and IT WORKS!!!
Interesting that APAP (acetaminophen) also boosts Ibuprofen. My prescription pain pills for my back & nerve damage are Ultracet, a combo of Oxycodone (same stuff as in Oxycontin) and APAP. The latter clearly boosts whatever other painkiller it’s combined with.
I’ll try your combo for less severe pain. Useful info. Thanks!
