Lizzie Warren:
A couple of clues for you, since you are so utterly devoid of them.
All of those things that “businesses” used to do their business, that were paid for by taxes?
Do you know where those taxes came from?
That’s right, taxpayers.
Do you know why those taxpayers paid taxes? yes, when they earned money, or used that money to buy things, or pay fees, or whatever.
Do you know where they earned that money?
yeah. “Businesses”.
Instead of trying so hard to put an iron boot on the neck of those people who have literally financed everything on this planet, maybe you should get down on your knees and thank them for making EVERYONES life better.
And while you’re down there, give them a happy ending. It’s about the only thing youre really qualified to do.

They are not even qualified to do that.
The only reason taxes are paid in onerous amounts is because the government has the only legitmate force in the room.
Not to hijack the thread, but I was reading an old copy of Rifleman and back around 1830 the federal government made arms and shipped them to the various state militas. It was not until the civil war we gained a standing federal army of any size.
Just boogles the minds.
I wouldn’t let the “unit” anywhere near that…person. Jesus Christ, I think you’ve just killed every erection I’ll ever have.
Oh: a story from my nursing home days:
One woman I was working with (I worked with her a lot; she was Bosnian) was especially angry one day at one resident who was typically whiny and demanding all the time.
“If I had a dick,” she said to me, “I would tell her to suck it!”
“Well, speaking as someone who does have one,” I said to her, “I don’t want it going anywhere NEAR her mouth.”
…she could not stop laughing.
I had a prof in college who gave us the example of “If you make a wallet and sell it for $10, you get to keep that $10. Therefore, if you hire someone to make a wallet and sell it for $10, they should get that $10.”
I sat in the back of the lecture hall and thought to myself, “Wait, after the loan on the factory and the utilities and the supplies, I only take home $2 a wallet to begin with, and now I have to pay someone else, so I’m only getting like fifty cents a wallet … ” I was too insecure to speak up, but the moment stuck with me.
That prof never had to meet a payroll or pay bills and rent a factory and-and-and…yet he’s an expert.
*rolleyes*
OWW! Fell right out of my chair, oggie!
Um… NO…period!
The biggest problem we have is not that the rich don’t pay their “fair” share. It’s that all government programs are about as effective and cost efficient as the Pentagon, and almost half of the adult population doesn’t pay income tax.
