That will drive you nuts. Those constant weather-effects noises generate depression, just ask any North Dakotan about wind sounds.

My R/X for that: play some soft classical music all the time. There’s probably some sort of a classical music FM station around, and if not, stream AllClassical.org from right here in Stumptown.

having the firebox door closed tones it down a lot. I think it’s funny but I can see where it would be undesireable.
