Now I know that winter comes each year.
And I remember what it’s about.
But I’m damned if I plan to like it. I do hope that eventually I get to park my ass somewhere further south, or at the very least, spend a good part of the year somewhere warm. I have spent a big whopping chunk of my life dealing with this weather. I’m coming to the end of my patience with it.

The weather I can deal with. It’s the idiots on the road who either want to go too fast or want to crawl that bother me the most.
Just woke up and went out for the morning smoke, and warm the SUV up…when what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a dusting of white shit on the driveway and truck.
Called the city to come by and pick their white shit up, I din’t ask for , or order it, they can have it back.
Damn it, Texas is looking better and better!
Real estate prices in Florida are still in the tank.
The wife will desert me if we don’t end up retiring in Florida, if only to snowbird.
I like it OK down there in the winter, but I’ll be damned if I’ll live there in the summer.
45° and foggy in DFW today. No wind. Should get up to 54° later.
As a long time resident of Florida I really can’t feel your pain, but for those of you thinking of moving here please visit for at least one week in August. Remember we only have two seasons here summer and almost summer.
A place in sunnier climes would be nice for sure, but I can’t complain- I’ve got a pole barn in NW Indiana.
Alot of retired folks will come down here in Florida in Sept. to take the tax course and work the tax season, leaving in late April.
Our summers are not bad-just drink plenty of water and you’ll be fine.
Florida summers SUCK. Which covers about half the year.
Real estate prices might be good but, the property taxes and insurance will cause a stroke. I hate FL.
I recommend the Carolinas.
I’ve been in Miami and in the panhandle in August. I dont know what the big damned deal is.
I went to dibney in what was supposedly the hottest september in years, and wore long black jeans and longsleeved black shirts all day every day, and I was never even remotely uncomfortable.
I do like it more in the70-80 range, though.
