Yes, the beat up old Budget rental truck was a good pick.
But cutting a window in the side of it, and putting one way glass in the window, and letting the rest of the truck get filthy while keeping ONLY the one-way-glass windows immaculately clean, well, that and leaving the extension cord plugged into the generator hidden behind the trees a couple hundred yards away, well, it’s not the bestest camo for a surveillance vehicle, yannow? Sorta like peeing out of your treestand. Just sayin’.
Edited to add: I wonder what they’d do if I turned off the generator?

While this may be a common occurrence for you, I believe the rest of us may need a little more detail and/or context to fully understand the humor of the situation.
lol. Thankfully, not me, but near a customer where I was working. I saw the truck and imemediately said “Surveillance”.
Pitiably the subject of their surveillance is probably not smart enough to figure it out.
Sounds more like someone who is living in a van down by the river.

1:50 mark. Louis Nye doing surreptitious surveillance in “Good Neighbor Sam”.
LOL, takes all kinds doesn’t it…
There’s dumb people everywhere, even in overly obvious surveillance vehicles. Maybe especially in such vehicles.
Generators do catch fire, especially if a properly-applied icepick perforates the fuel line, or the fuel line is simply pulled off the carb fitting. The carb will run the engine for a while on it’s load of gas, and during that same while, the leaking gas from the tank will find an ignition source.
Head shop? They still have those? You can buy all that drek off the ‘net now…
Net? Wow, man!
Actually, that whole interstate commerce of Bongs thing is a problem- ask Tommy Chong!

…what a waste of resources. I used to be anti-drug but I’ve seen how well the “war on drugs” worked.
About as well as the “war on booze” did in the 1930s.
If diesel generator put in some gasoline. Will make life more interesting for a few minutes.
You surely don’t mean like this …
