I feel for anyone who has been hurt by the storm, and I hope they’re all back to normal as soon as possible; on the other hand, as I wrote back here, I think some of these assholes need to be shown the door.

but now he’s pushed this over the edge; all the money and help these people get? in a year they’ll be right where they started. You cannot simply throw cash at people who don’t know what to do with it to begin with, and expect them to learn. And no, I’m not talking about blacks, I’m talking about people. If your judgement is bad enough that you live in a hole, you probably won’t all of a sudden begin to make great decisions. It just doesn’t happen.
