Danny the car wiper is on the nod.
One of my favorite Christmas stories, not because of the warm feeling you get from it.
Burroughs points out something we should all remember at this time of year. Christ’s redemption is for all of us, even those who don’t wear the right clothes or live in the right places. It’s for junkies and drunks and losers and bums of all types, too. Chris Hitchens and Barney Frank get the same deal. Nancy Pelosi. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Child molesting priests and kiddy diddling coaches. We all get exactly the same offer. It’s what we do with it that counts, regardless of what Calvin said.
Merry Christmas, folks.

Well said. I plan on stealing that for my own commentary. As I’ve said, I pray for God’s mercy, not His justice.
Amen.
Timely post, Og. It occurs to me that the losers of all types getting the same deal as the righteous makes Christ’s redemption real – and all the more believable.
Merry Christmas!
…and as for Calvin, well, he was just a Marxist ahead of Marx’ time. We have plenty of “Calvinists” today.
