It never rains but it pours
Now the exploder seems to have a leaking radiator. I’mna keep pouring antifreeze in it for the time being and see how much it leaks over how long. If I can just keep it topped it’ll have to do. God, I’m getting to hate cars.

I think you should replace it with a powder blue Prius.
Yeah, no.
Randy, you’re way behind the power curve on that one. Good try, though.
Nah, what he really needs is a Chevy Volt, seeing that he’s comfortable working around conductive and combustible machinery.

The Volt doesn’t have enough range to even get me to work.
I’ve nursed dripping radiators for decades, but it wasn’t on commuters that racked up hundreds of miles in a week.
The little tubes of plugit stuff seemed to work better years ago. Not sure if aluminum radiators don’t interact as well or what.
I no longer have to nurse them when they go, I just buy a replacement immediately.
If the price is higher than the perceived value of the newly refurbished vehicle, then it’s time to scrap that car.
Mark: Yes, that’s about where I’m at.
I ordered a new radiator on ebay last summer for about $70, and installed it myself to save money. It was a direct fit and has not had any issues. I see new Ford Exploder radiators out there for the same price range…a bunch of examples below.

I ended up getting one at Autozone for about twice that, unfortunately, because I had to have it tonight. It was just leaking too much to wait, oterwise I would have gone that route
