Luap Nor
was on the Don & Roma show this morning. Bruce and Dan filling in for Don and Roma, they asked him a few more stupid questions than Don or Roma would (Or at least Bruce Wolf did, Dan Proft has a bit more maturity) but their questions about foreign policy obviously rang his bell (Since Luap’s foreign policy has long involved sticking his fingers in his ears and saying “LALALALALALALALA”)and when Proft suggested (and correctly so) that there was and is a growing issue about islamofascists Luap’s response was “Maybe a couple hundred thousand of them”
??????
The boy really IS from mars. And he doesn’t know bruce and Dan from Adam, either; so when he snapped back with “What YOU want is a HOLY WAR!!!”
Really, luap? Really? You never, ever spoke with these two men before ninety seconds ago, and they bring up the real and credible threat of global islamicization, and you immediately know they’re bucking for a holy war? Really? then he actually said
“How about all those Christians that do bad things!!”
Look: In case you’ve been under a rock, torturing, murdering, or subduing people is not Christian behavior, and at no point in the core of Christianity is this acceptable. if you profess to be a Christian, and you do those sorts of things, you’re a bad Christian. The argument can easily be made that by doing those things you demonstrate that in fact you are NOT a Christian; a Christian doesn’t engage in that behavior (This is one of the reasons I still like the Catholic Church; unlike most Christian sects, if you fuck up, they throw you out. hell, they don’t even have to do so intentionally; certain behavior automatically separates you from the church, as every good catechist knows.)
On the other hand, if you spend your time torturing, murdering, or subduing people, it makes you a GOOD muslim, because those things exist at the core of islam and in fact define it. You can disagree with this, and you’ll be wrong. QED.
it was hard to take Luap seriously before, I mean, look at the campaign posters.

but now that his deliberately obtuse stance on these issues puts him in the same camp as those who put the ‘Coexist” stickers on their bumpers.
Morons.

As you know, sometimes I refer to islam (over on the “Fungus”)as “the death cult” for this and other reasons.
Oh, yeah, I know you’ve been aware of this crap a long time too. I studied this crap in high school, back in the cretaceous era.
I was up early enough to have listened, wish I had. Sad thing is, I can buy into a large chunk of Dr. Pauls domestic policy, especially his stance on matters fiscal. But when he heads over toward anything having to do with international, foreign, or military policies … it’s “tin foil hat time”!
And we don’t even have to touch on his (alleged) anti-semitism.
He makes Ross Perot look like the sanest and most rock steady of political aspirants. And that’s saying a lot.
“He makes Ross Perot look like the sanest and most rock steady of political aspirants”
QOTD right there.
I can’t wait for the paulites to come in and start bitching at me.
I saw that Paul movie. It didn’t suck. It isn’t a parody of Ron Paul, unless it is so subtle that I didn’t get it (not unpossible).
IRT Islam. Never got all that deep into it, growing up. What little I did read, was the usual dreg which is still pushed on folks today. “Religion of Peace”, “kept the wisdom and knowledge of man intact during the dark/middle ages”, was “ahead of its time in how it treated prisoners of war…”offering them a chance to live (vice either dying or being enslaved) if they converted to Islam’…”one of the three major faiths which all believe in the same God”…you know, the usual bs/propaganda.
Even worked for them (the Kuwaitis) on their F?A-18 program (administrative assistant to their Col in charge of this program). Like most folk, some where pretty nice folks. And to a man and woman, all of em loved being in the “land of the big PX”. They were shopoholics. They were also, to a man (and woman) Muslim. Most would fall under the politically correct heading of “moderate muslim”. But I got the feeling ALL, if push came to shove, would stand by their cult at the end of the day, rather than voice any (honest/sincere) major objection to things done in the name of their so called religion.
You are not alone Ed, I have also ranted about the moon god, pedophile prophets, and mythical moderate muslims (Yeah, there are a handful, but they are almost forced to go underground for their own safety, if nothing else. Their numbers are far too small to seriously amount to being a legitimate faction.).
But WE are the ones trying to wage “holy war”?!! Yeah right!
Hale.it’s a JOKE.
So, for S+Gs, let’s give him the Benefit of the Doubt and say there are “Only” 200,000 IslamoFascists around.
How many did it take to cause the Attack on the U.S. in 2001? 20-25 on the Planes? Another 20-50 scattered around the World in Support? Let’s call it 100.
Gee, that means, by his own Math, we “Only” have to worry about 199,900 MORE of them attacking the U.S.!
Would someone call the Nursing Home and tell them we found their Lost Patient?
How this clown ever got elected to Congress is a mystery to me. The Wookie vote must be strong in that district.
That is my fav-o-rite argument for the comparison of the two religions.
Bad Christian=Good Muslim.
I was teaching shop math and layout over at a good sized aerospace shop about three years ago. One of the brightest apprentices in my group was a young Arab-American named Jamil. Half Jordanian and half Palestinian.
Jay was a typical kid, who went out one night with his buddies and got puking drunk (on beer, not wine), went skiing in Vermont with the guys, and wanted what every teenaged boy does, which is to say a teenaged girl.
A happy, cheerful kid with a great work ethic. I liked him immediately, and the feeling was mutual, especially when he discovered I had grown up with Lebanese, spoke a few words of Arabic, and understood the difference between a West Bank Palestinian (native Arab) and a Gaza Strip Palestinian (North African immigrants raised for three generations on UN welfare and hateful propaganda).
So we spoke candidly (mostly, I didn’t mention my two years working with IMI and the Israeli army on the TAVOR project).
One day I mentioned the option of military service. His smiling comment was “I was thinking about joining the army”. “The Imam told us a few weeks ago that America was getting ready to go over to Israel and kill all those Jewish pigs”
Full disclosure. I wish America had one third the common sense the Israelis display, and I am a rabid supporter of a culture I admire without exception.
That culture is not Arabic.
The problem is not Arabs, not oil, and not Islam. It’s the combination of all three. Remove any one of the legs and the stool falls over.
How anyone can believe that our abandoning Israel to massacre would do anything more than embolden the Arabs to widen the scope of their attacks on the west is beyond me.
A nation the size and population of New Jersey has held off a hundred times it’s number of utter crazies for more than sixty years, while maintaining a vibrant democracy and a marvelous sense of humor. We should me imitating them, not hanging them out to dry.
The oil and the oil money are simply the fuel. Islam is the match. Without the fuel it can’t do much; with that fuel it’s a holocaust. And it’s not just Arabs, wherever there is islam there is trouble brewing.
OK, Ron Paul is crazy. I would still pick him over the rest of those clowns.
Why, out of 300 million Americans, can’t we do better?
Because of people like Ron Paul. And he’s not just crazy, he’s “Dangerous to the existence of humanity” crazy, where the others are merely “Dangerous to liberty” crazy.
It wasn’t the oil back when a bunch of barbarian goatherds descended out of the great erg like a plague of fleas and spread a virulent, toxic political ideology from the Atlas Mountains to Mongolia.
M
Oh, sure, Mark. But the oil helped them to finance bigger and better stuff. If not for oil money, they’d still be running across the desert
fuckingon camelsOg, I have a Coexist bumper sticker…
Of course it’s the one made from all the gun logos.
John: You rock on ice, and your rocking can be seen from space.
Og has the right idea. We are not talking about “just the arabs”, or Iraqis (the natives do not consider themselves to be arabs), or Iranians (neither do they), the Palestinians, or any other group from the middle east, africa, or south west asia. We are talking about a cult which has in the neighborhood of 1 BILLION followers (and it is growing much faster than most the other established religions out there.)
It is definitely not restricted to the middle east and its environs. Hell, there is a masque and school just up the road from here in the hinterlands (in Rockford).
And at the end of the day I wouldn’t care less…you can believe in Annie Sprinkle being the earth mother incarnate, and have all the sorted meetings about that all you like….cause it’s your business, and as long as you are not harming me, mine, (or on a larger scale, my countrymen/country), or my property…and have no plans to do so in the future…well have at it.
But Islam has never been that way, and from all appearances, is not going to change …they may not “hate” us…but they do want us to “submit”…and if they can get the power to do so, they will make the effort for this to happen.
Yes, in the middle east, in particular, you have oil, religion, and tin star dictators (be they the elected officials or their Muslim overlords/Imans), and it is reaching critical mass. If we had a government/leader with something approaching real human male form …which includes having a working set of balls. Perhaps this whole thing would be shut down. Ain’t gonna happen with the current poindexter in office…and I wonder if any of the one trick ponies the GOP is offering up will be able to do any better.
