Caught a huge walleye at the local VFW hall last night. Deep fried moist fish flesh surrounded by crispy batter. Bonus catch was the 4 jumbo shrimp, slaw and fries. They call it the “Walleye Combo Plate”.
Just saw a Larry the Cable Guy episode about carp.
You know the proper way to prepare carp?
Clean, scale and fin.
Put on a cedar plank that’s been soaked in water.
Cook on grill until done.
Discard carp, eat cedar plank.

My favorite fast food joint fish sammich is Arby’s, followed by Jack In The Box, then Wendy’s, then as a last resort of if someone else is buying, Mickey (yucky) Dee’s.
Favorite deep fried fish is Skipper’s. Their fries are pretty good, and their cole slaw is excellent. Good tartar sauce, too.

Salmon paninis last night. And I didn’t burp fish oil forever. :-)
Mark D;
We have carp in the Ohio River that you’d probably want to just skip the catching part.

Carp are the only fish in WA State which are legal to fish for with bow and arrow. Carp thus caught make very acceptable landfill.
My sister used to pressure cook carp then can it for winter use. Fine for fish cakes and such. Tasted like canned mackerel.
