Listen: People capable of self governance need no law, in fact law is a waste of their time. Laws are required to keep the marching morons from harming themselves and one another, and the problem is sometimes the morons get their hands on the reins of power, and make laws even stupider than themselves. Slavery? Maybe. I expect we are all slaves to the stupid in our midst, sometimes even a slave to our own stupid,and that’s not ever going to change.

When you use such language as dingbats when talking about those who believe in a Paulian vision of liberty, you show your ignorance. All you can argue with is name calling.
But you took my comment out of context. You don’t believe people are capable of self government. You in fact despite the vision of liberty that Paul and other libertarians believe.
I read that as you believing that people need to be controlled “for their own good”. I took that argument to the logical end- that people need to be slaves to protect them from themselves.
Yes, I’m sure your argue that you only want SOME controls. But the problem is those controls expand over time, further and further. The government then wants more and more control.
We’ve seen in this country. It was founded by a bunch of guys who hated paying a meager tax- something a lot of people would LOVE to pay now.
