I don’t know WTF it is
that I’m allergic to, but mowing the backyard nearly killed me.
No, not last night, but this morning, when i felt like my eyeball was going to pop out of my head. A steamy shower heleped loosen up whatever it was that was causing me distress, but damn, this is horrible.

You have mowed your backyard how many times before Sunday? And how many times has it nearly killed you?
OTOH, even if you worked that particular highway section before Saturday, but you have no idea what has been dumped there in the interim, nor know if there is a delay in your reaction to it. Post hoc ergo propter hoc?
No, this had nothing to do with the physical strain, this was just some sinus-hammering clusterfuck.
Once your done, take a little bourbon and Coke.
My mold allergies usually hit me at exposure and then upon waking the next morning I get some kind of rebound effect that’s worse than initial. My symptoms would be described just as you have.
Given that I’d think about what Pascal said. What might you have gotten into doing the highway cleanup?
It was mowing my backyard. The highway cleanup is next weekend, despite the website saying it was last saturday.
IIRC, that you have reaction to sudafed. That’s why I suggested the meyer lemon. However, I have since found that tangerines are maybe the best source of synephrine (assuming you’re not allergic to that too).
FYI
“This compound is not known to occur in plants other than citrus and it seems to
occur in fairly uniform amounts in orange juice….
The largest amount of synephrine was found in Dancy tangerine juice which contained from 97 to 152 mg per liter….
The pharmacological properties of synephrine are of interest. The drug is used as a stimulant and has decongestant properties similar to neosynephrine.
Synephrine in oral form is recom
mended both for children and adults (1).
The minimum dose is 100 mg of the dl tartrate. This is believed to be equivalent to about 17 mg of
the 1 isomer found in citrus. Four to six
ounces of tangerine juice contain this amount of synephrine. “
