I have arrived at the point
where a peer-to-peer networkl is no longer working here, and I’mna have to set up an actual network. The plan is to use Debian/Ubuntu Linux, and see how long it takes for my hair to catch fire.

I suppose one day I shall construct a home network…. but I resist. Oh, how I resist.
If you’re using Ubuntu to run a Linux server, may I strongly suggest the LTS(Long Term Support) version? And if you are comfortable with the command line, you might want to think about the Server version.
In any case be sure make yourself a note to upgrade before support expires for that release. It’s much more complicated to update if you don’t heed that piece of advice.
Linux? You will be shaving that head soon. You must chant Krishna, Krishna, Hari Krishna three time to get a linux box to boot.
And here I thought it was “click your heals three times, while repeating; There’s no place like knome…”
There’s no place like Gnome
Thanks Dave! obviously it has been too long since I peaked at a Linux distro.
