Rodney King RIP
Rodney King, whose actions displayed the classiness of the LAPD, the court system, and the people of Los Angeles, is dead at 47.
Wonder, wil the people riot because God is unfair? beat each other up and burn down their own neighborhoods?

Correction, he was 47. Younger than me actually.
Fatfingered, thanks, will correct.
I heard the LAPD changed their slogan, right after the initial incident, from “To Protect and Serve” to “We’ll Treat You Like A King”.
For what it’s worth, I hope he is in a better place, and is at peace.
Godspeed – it’s the first time I ever heard of a Hyundai ever going that fast.
His last words, you ask? “Can’t we all just get a Lung.”
I remember coming out of LAX and the maintenance guys finding a bullet hole in the back during the A check.
I guess I’m a poor one to ask if Gawd is fair. It will be 15 years ago tomorrow my daughter died at age 17 years, 5 months and 23 days.
While I’m a believer I do not believe in any way that God is fair.
He’s a tough son of a bitch and to think otherwise is to drink the kool-aid…
All The Best,
Frank W. James
Oh, no question, Frank. It isn’t often that I quote the Bible, but this is one of the ones that makes most sense for me:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts: nor your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are exalted above the earth, so are my ways exalted above your ways, and my thoughts above your thoughts. ” Isaiah55:8-9
There is no question that we do not see things the same way as the Creator. Why did he take my dad from me when I was 27, and most needed his counsel? Why did he take my gentle old uncle Calvin, and then only a few months later, his eldest son, just when he was trying to put the pieces of his shattered life back together? My life is also full of those kinds of tragedies, some so painful I will discuss them with nobody.
No, the Lord isn’t “Fair”, certainly by our definition, or to our understanding, but that hasn’t stopped the fine folks of LA from rioting in the streets before.
