Upgrade
Finally got tired of looking at the little YouTube circle spinning, and upgraded the service from1.2 mbps to 12 mbps.
BIG difference. Spent most of last night watching videos in HD without waiting for them to spool up. This is a bigger data pipe than I have at work. I’mna have to get one of those Roku things and see if they work with this much bandwidth.

Roku work fine w/3.0 here.
I love my Roku. There have been a few hiccups where I had to reset the whole thing and get new activation codes for some of the services I view with it (Netflix, Amazon), but it has been months since that happened, and was likely due to me being impatient and overreacting to temporary connection or bandwidth problems.
Most of the time even with 3 or more people using different devices to watch video, play games, or engage in poke-fests on Facebook, the 12mbps seems to hold up most of the time.
Roku kewl with 12Mbps.
Roku is great, and that much pipe will be NO PROBLEM!!! :-)
Holy crap. That’s 2x of the pipe here to the bunker!
You’ll be fine. Just watch your data cap. The 6.0 plan has a 150 GB cap per month, and I ran into it after letting El-Hazard torrent anime 24/7. AT&T charges $10 for 50 GB thereafter.
the Fungus post where I discuss learning about this the hard way. Heh.
I got the Uverse. Supposedly the cap is 250gig. That should be cool for the movies I’mna watch, I would hope.
I watch netflix over wireless g on my WII with no problem. That’s 56mps right?
