Is there anything more succulent, tastier, more toothsome than the last fully ripe tomatoes of the season, sliced thin, and sprinkled with celery salt?
Yup.
The last fully ripe tomatoes of the season, sliced thin, and sprinkled with sugar.
Ach, I like sugar on early plum tomatos in the spring. But, to each his own. One thing for sure, I loves me some maters.
Your filter is blocking everything.
Take a look at my most recent “Recipes for REAL Men”. I put it up just a few minutes before I read yours.
i swear I do not have ANY filters on this website, none whatsoever. I promise. I have no idea why this is happening.
It’s obviously the perverts of the evil salted tomato cabal stifling dissent and free speech.
Sugar RULES ! ! !
Celery salt and tomatos are made for one another, end of question. Sugar is a diversion. Granted, a nice diversion, but a diversion nonetheless.
Weirdness there. I can only post if I strip my web site url from the box above, and then cant put quotes or a url in the comments.
Just to check, I snuck next door and liberated half a dozen ripe ‘maters from my neighbor’s vines. (He’s got hundreds, he’ll never miss six.) Sliced ’em thin and ate three with celery salt for supper. DAMN! that’s good! Had three for dessert with plain ol’ sugar on ’em. DAMN! that’s good.
I llkes ‘maters, too.
See? tolja.
aters are good for just about everything.
I love it when I find something that good and that simple. Celery Salt. Who’da thunk it.
Now you gotta try one.
Dish up about 3/4 cup of a good vanilla ice cream. Sprinkle on half a teaspoon or so of Folger’s crystals.Do not substitute. Now pour 1/3 to 1/2 C of halfway decent bourbon on top.
Heaven.
I dunno, How about standing in the garden eating it straight off the vine with juice dripping down your fingers?
yeah, that works too.
Onions, too.
15 comments on tomato eating. Imagine. Salt and pepper, right off the vine.
Well I was going to post an anti-tomato comment but your nonexistant filters won’t let me. So we’ll just have to do this:
Tomatoes? *shudder*
