If this were GWB, there would be film of the colonoscopy with airheaded twits asking questions like “Can a man with a colon like this really be a proper leader of the free world?” And shaking her bubblehead in the obvious “No”.

But since it’s a member of the protected class, being a philandering turd with a substance abuse issue or whatever he has is considered normal, acceptable, and in fact, expected. Stop hating!!
Yes, it amazes me the number of people who trashed both Bushes and Reagan seem to think we need to respect the presidency, even though they haven’t for twenty years or more.
I have a whole list of terms to describe that behavior, but since this is sometimes a family site, I will forestall such impulses.
I’ve seen the guy a couple of times, once he showed up for a ribbon cutting in dress pants and a t-shirt, and if anything he’s one of the healthiest and well built specimens out there, just a little too muscular if anything. I doubt he’s in physical ill health, and doubt he’s a doper, as in chronic. The guy’s too lucent and fit like a Marine D.I. to be some addict.
My money is on nervous breakdown, and the troops are circling the wagons with this shroud of secrecy to hide that so he stays in his seat. If Kennedys don’t leave office over drug or alcohol trouble, why would he? Of course it’s germane, and if he is not of sound mind (passing the jokes on how being nuts is a requirement rather than an impediment to being a Congressman) they should fill his spot with someone else. Hell, Governor Sanford disappeared from the public view for a while to be with his girlfriend in Argentina, and they were going to impeach him, and would’ve, if his term wasn’t ending so soon anyway.
I am betting he’s been spending too much time with Marion Barry.
As you local guys know, he’s been the subject of many (suppressed) scandals. There must be something that they know they can’t keep the lid on, so they’re making him as bullet- proof as they can.
I have a tiny suspicion he’s dead, and they’re keeping the body connected to a machine a la Todd Stroger Sr. Remember that?
