   There’s company surplus company out in California that sells surplus kitchen towels from the Swedish navy for about a $.80 each. I buy a couple of packages at a time and they are far better then any of the cheap crap you find in wallyworld.

   Some people are free bleeders. I am a free sweater. Something about eating breakfast, getting the old metabolism kicking, shaving and showering in a hot bathroom, hell, I have to shower ten minutes after taking a shower every morning.

   Of course you need to bring a towel with you everywhere.

   You never know when you’ll be visiting that restaurant at the end of the universe.

   I really think the “big foot” sighting years ago was some hiker who, after working up a good sweat, toweled himself off with one of those cheap brown “Target” bath towels.

   After a morning of basic training PT, in formation for cool-down, everyone else’s shirt barely had a sweat spot. I was bathed, and water ran off the gym shorts cuffs like I was peeing on the ground, forming a large puddle. The sneakers, filled with water, slushed when I walked. Even though I was in good shape. The drill sergeants of course gave me a hard time, yelling how I was putting on a fake show as if I was working hard. Trust me, I’d give my paycheck to not be “faking it.”

   You’d think, if hard sweating was a sign of high metabolism, I’d be thin now, but nope.

   Forget used Goodwill towels – I’ll but them the same day I buy used underwear from there. How you know some dead person’s gunk wasn’t wiped up with it? The Dollar store ones have held up well. I wonder what one could find on Overstock or eBay. They do have razor cartridges rather cheap.
