The Oglet
Drove the last segment of our trip. At night. On 200 miles of unfamiliar twisty roads. In the pouring rain. “I want you to take a break and rest’ she said.
You couldnt have driven a stickpin up my ass with a jackhammer. Still, she did fine.
I think the reason she toughed it out was to impress the boyfriend.
I told her she was entitled to claim “Radar Love” as a theme song now.

She been drivin all night her hands wet on the wheel?
Yep.
I was never a timid driver, but learning to drive at night was a memorable experience. I’m impressed by the Oglet.
Been there. And I will get to do it again with the boy in about 5 years or so. Glad you made it home.
You’re a brave soul, Og. The first time our daughter drove at night was going home from church. She was terrified but not as much as I. Mommy was curled up in the back seat, praying for mercy, while her dad was sitting beside her telling her she was driving too slow!
