Sometimes
You think to yourself, if I didn’t really work with superior people, this would be a miserable job. Skilled and talented and motivated co-workers make it worthwhile.
And keep you from tuning up everyone you see, sometimes.

Yeah.
Although I would love to tune up the entire sales and marketing departments most days.
At least the techs I work with and oversee are competent and likeable.
I spend more time thinking that if it wasn’t for the miserable substandard peers I have at work, I might actually enjoy my job more.
Too Bad the Pool of Talented and Skilled Co-Workers keeps getting smaller and smaller and smaller…..
You guys have jobs. I’ve been out so long I don’t know how I’d be to work-with.
Never had that experience, Og.
Like one of the few intelligent people that I worked with once said:
“The only good thing about this place is that when you come to work all you have to do is watch these people for a couple of minutes to feel like a genius.”
I’ve worked with stupid people. I’ve worked FOR stupid people. I’ve done both at once. I’ve bitten my tongue to keep from asking people if they rode to work on the short bus.
When I started as a tech writer, I worked for and with smart people.
After they turned Tech Pubs into a profit center, I worked for a prototypical Pointy-Haired Boss.
The former was glorious. The latter was hellish.
*sigh*
What an intriguing concept.
Yep, there ARE days…
