It has been twenty years
since I could straighten my left knee completely. Straighten to lock, so to speak. I can straighten the right to lock, but between injury and surgery it stops before I get any closer than about 5 degrees.
So if I balance myself on my left foot I have to use the muscles in that leg to carry all my weight, where the right I can just lock it and it supports me with little effort.
Not so big a deal, usually, but Monday begins IMTS. And there’s a lot of standing involved.
No, I won’t be working this year- foir the second time in thirty years- but I’ll still hit the show and it will still involve a LOT of standing around. So i’ll take good doses of Vitamin I, and hope for the best.

Here you go:

The advantage of one of these is that if you throw your back out and drop your cane, you can simply step on the feet to stand it back up. Which is like a miracle for those with lower back blowouts.
lol. I haven’t got that bad yet, I can walk all day, the standing is what kills me
I can’t straighten either arm all the way. Had to see a rheumatologist a while back, and when he saw that he made some noises, grabbed a gauge and measured, made some more noises and ended up with “That’s unusual…”
Considering my elbows weren’t why I was there, it wasn’t encouraging.
Geting old sucks, for sure.
Yeah, but considering the alternative … I’ll take the aches and pains, the Rice Krispy knees, the baseline tendonitis and epicondyle inflammation … all the other stuff.
“What does not kill you makes you stronger.”
Just happy to be here.

You and I both, M’lady.
Started Tae Kwan Do the other day. Have to see where that goes.
Doing it with boy, that and I need to do something for my health.
I hope Vitamin I stands for ibogaine.
What is not killing me is making me bitch and moan about the joints
