Eleven years
and there is another generation of people who hate the west because of a twisted ideology.
Until that ideoogy is removed or reformed it will always be the same. Pray that those who would practice it are saved from their hatred or removed from harming others. Either will do.

Not all of those people hate the west – the majority do not.
Anyone who has been “there” and lived among them would say that there are many more similarities than differences.
They have the same problems politically we do – 5 or 10% at each end that keep shit stirred up for their own enrichment and power trip.
The other 80% want to raise their families, hopefully give the next generation a better standard of living and practice their reigion peacefully.
I do not condone terrorism or random acts of violence against anyone. I am a middle aged WASP. But I refuse to condemn a whole group for the twisted actions of a few.
That is like saying Father Coughlin represented the views of every Catholic. Slippery slopes….
So, you have no comprehension of the nature of islam whatsoever.
By comprehension, do you mean do I believe in it? An emphatic NO.
Am I willing to tolerate viewpoints other than my own? YES.
If anyone wants to compel belief in ideology – by harangue, threat of excomunication or gunpoint – then they will ultimately lose.
By the way, I support the elimination of radical and terrorist elements of any ideology. Nations have the right to defend themselves.
By the way, you refute your arguement in the wording of your original post –
“because of a twisted ideology.”
The implication being that if it wasn’t “twisted” it would be okay…
sorry for the typos in earlier post.
You do in fact have no comprehension. That explains a good deal.
Og, I am completely unconvinced that Islam can be reformed. The first thing they’d have to do is get rid of That Book and write another one.
Otherwise it’s fire and sword, and the will to stick to it until the job is done.
Im with you, Nathan, but the creator may have other plans.
Gentlemen, you may in fact be correct. Hope to God you are not.
My experience among everyday people in the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, UAE, Qatar and other garden spots would hold out hope otherwise.
Otherwise, a truly sisyphean task.
How might we simply demonstrate why Islam (despite its treatment of women and gays and apostates and infidels) are loved by the Left who hate the Western tradition and its religious foundations (“hey, hey, ho, ho, western civ has go to go.”)
My ongoing goal has been to expose how we have a ruling class that hates humanity because it fears leaving uncontrolled reproductive, self-defense, and seeking medical treatment rights to the whim of individuals.
The deceitful portions in the Koran is a good place to start. The Left lies and lies and then its media projects that the Right is doing the lying instead. Witness today’s stories from the Muslim dominated world claiming that 911 was both a plot by the U.S. and Jews, and also never really happened. That’s similar to the Left claiming the housing bubble was due to Wall Street, and that the HUD, the CRA, and Fannnie and Freddie were never unsound — and to say they were unsound is a conservative lie.
Cloward-Piven wet-dreams are about to come true, and we still have not made it clear to half of the Western world that just as lying to kafirs is textbook Islam, lying to free men is textbook Statism.
Dale: You mention “Father Coughlin” and say ‘he does not represent all Catholics’. In that you are correct.
Are you aware that all muslims, everywhere, are required by their faith- not suggested, not hoped for, but required- to infiltrate and grow until they can convert or enslave or murder everyone on earth? Everyone. On earth. You cannot find that in Buddhism. You cannot find that in Christianity. You cannot find that in Judaism. At the core of islam is a decree that all other faiths be destroyed. Are you not aware of that?
Are you aware of Taqiyyah? The deceitful way Muslims are trained to act in order to deliberately deceive non muslims into believing they are harmless people “Just trying to live their lives”?
Are you aware that their religion involves converting, enslaving, or murdering you, and the people who do not are not the “Good ones” but the “bad ones”? That “good Muslims” are the ones that you seem to diuslike so much? it doesn’t seem as if you are aware of this. I suggest reading the Koran. Get as literal a translation as you can, not one of the watered down versions. Robert Spencer’s guide to the Koiran is a good companion piece.
“My experience among everyday people in the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, UAE, Qatar and other garden spots would hold out hope otherwise”
Ah, so you have experienced the deceit of taqiyyah firsthand. And you never noticed you were in a nest of vipers?
There’s a liquor store I used to stop in for a beer to drink on the train on the way home from work. The young lady who worked there was Muslim. She was cute, sweet, used to flirt with the guys, and had apparently no problem handling bottles and cans of alcoholic beverages. She dressed in Western clothing, modestly, but stylish and attractive. She gave me a bowl of her home-made falafel one time, good stuff.
I had trouble rationalizing that she was a practitioner (and a pious one) of the same religion that killed 3,000 people on 9/11/2001. Then I realized, those terrorists, and the mullahs who sent them, would kill her as quickly as me, perhaps more so. She abstained from alcohol and pork, she said her prayers, but that wasn’t enough for the “leaders” who recruit suicide bombers. She’d probably be considered apostate.
So yes, there are “good Muslims”, but they’ve fallen from the purity of Islam and are hated by the mullahs just as much as Christians are. Maybe even as much as Jews are.
Good points Og and MarkD.
You know Muslims from experience DaleW who would not hurt a flea. But do you doubt they know what terrors are in store for them if they ever side with an infidel against a Wahhabist or other radical? And even putting aside the radicals. Can you testify that you have had a dispute with a Muslim and had all your friends openly take your side against him? How about even hush-hush?
Here’s another parallel for Neanderpundit readers. How many know liberals who are nice people but with side with the radical Left against all conservatives. The best defense I ever got was “But Pascal is different.” Never have I heard a liberal dare challenge the PC rules to favor a conservative. For that matter, rarely have I heard a moderate Republican do that either, which is why the GOP needs fumigation or extinction. Which brings us back to Muslims who are not radical. I know liberals who are not radical, but they will vote against what is good because they have been taught to fear the consequences (usually nothing more than loss of friendships) if they side with non-believers in “the common good” collectivist model.
The Unmah or the Collective: sure seems both are headed up by gangsters differing only in their hand signals.
I agree with your points. One can’t argue with what the book says.
Like Mark D I have met good people (met some bad ones also). My hope is that the good will overcome the bad, by whatever impetus that is required.
2.2 billion muslims in the world, give or take. That’s a lot of killing, or re-education or whatever.
If you accept that approx. 500,000 civilians, soldiers, police and bad guys have been killed since 2001 (and that number is continually being revised up and down), and we have lost about 4700 troops (sorry I do not have an exact current number); that works out to a kill ratio of 106:1 –
That means we only have to lose 20,680,000 more (give or take) to completely eradicate the muslim scourge, if the ratio holds. Take that number times about 7 for the wounded.
Hmmm – We will need considerably more intestinal fortitude than the American public has displayed to date to bring that task to a close.
I hope for my children’s sake and their children’s sake, etc., that this can be ended before that point. I’m not converting to Islam, and your grim take leaves little room for optimism, so I better petion Uncle Sugar to lower the standards so middle aged guys like me and you can enlist and get this done.
I hope that whatever occurs in November, the leaders of this great country do nothing to diminish the significant sacrifice others are making or have made so that you and I live free and can debate freely on-line.
I have lived with Muslims. There are not a more hypocritical group of humans on this earth. Zenophobic as well.
As to the solution, we have it. We only used it twice in the past. I would argue that most of them tend to be in areas we don’t really care about. Other than Israel, the rest of the middle east could be a glass parking lot.
As Picard once said, make it so.
The attempt to narrow the timeline to 2001-2012 is foolish in the extreme.
Please remember that the worldwide caliphate has been the stated goal of islam since about 750AD.
It’s past time to define the muslims as they define themselves. islam is NOT a religion, by its very tenets.
The previous idiot to hold the office of president did us NO good by calling it a religion of peace.
It is a murderous death cult founded by a pedophile. Women are chattel, and tolerance of infidels is NOT acceptable.
The peaceful residents of the gulf states are the backsliders and apostates and yet they refuse to condemn the actions of the true believers.
That’s the experience of my 17 trips to Riyadh.
“Please remember”
Been studying this since about 75. No need to preach to the choir.
Gentlemen, I concede. I’ll take my lumps. Events of yesterday certainly do nothing to bolster my argument.
Sorry for late response, work intrudes today. Thanks for the stern correction – blog “lurkers” like myself admire those willing to sack up and put it online everyday. Not my intent to antagonize – particularly in respect to your “range war” last night!
lol. All you have to do is wait around for them to show their true colors. Don’t sweat it.
but the creator may have other plans
Og’s comment is to what it may come down. There’s no way we’ll defeat it like fascism, or even emperor worship, in the 1940’s. It’s been undefeatable for 1400 years. Even during its lowest point, with the Middle East colonized by Europeans, they didn’t get the nations to convert away from Islam.
The Spanish were having no success converting the Aztecs to Christianity, until Juan Diego was awarded the miracle of the Lady of Guadelupe on his tilma. Communism cost 700 million lives before most of the world gave it up with a shrug in 1990, and even the nominally communist countries in Asia were neck deep in capitalism. Though no one else seems to call it that, I think this defeat was a miracle, just without all the accompanying spiritual visions, etc. Cracking this nut may need a similar miracle beyond our abilities.
