First of all:
You have to see squirrels to shoot them. I saw none within shooting distance, I may have to invest in a 17 hmr.
Second: Skinning a squirrel is easier when they’re fresh daid. Nuff saud.
Third: Damn, the nuts on those little bastards are bigger than their FEET! I mean, ! have big nuts but whoa!
Fourth: Crock pot is better for squirrels than smoker.
Of course I saw HERDS of deer, flocks of turkeys, and even bunnies.
Next time. I will be bringing something small caliber with me as I hunt deer, so I may bring some home yet.

I’ll never forget my horror when I discovered older male tree rats made a practice of eating younger tree rats “nuts” to cut down on the compitition.
Did you see the ones I kilt this weekend?
Grew up eating squirrel. Can’t say that I miss it much, maybe cos of all of them I had to clean.
Maybe you should have tried shooting a deer and cutting it up into “swirrel sized” pieces before fish and game arrives.
I can see a rifle or pistol with a suppressor being real nice for squirrels, especially while out for other game
