I have apparently
been enjoying Netflix too much.
I dreampt the other night that I was watching a movie. A gang of rough guys was coming after a young couple- a couple consisting of a young Janine Turner and a young Harrison Ford. The baddies were some smart types but the couple was pretty good, too, Janine faking footsteps up a pair of stairs to fake one guy out and then clocking him in the face with a metal draftsman’s square, which stuck in one eye. THe guy behind him on the stairs was stunned long enough for her to grab a revolver from the falling man and plug him in the nuts as he scrambled backward, trying to get away, the bullet exiting between his shoulderblades.
I don’t like this kind of drama in my movies. If I want to see people being assholes to one another, I don’t have to go far outside my daily commute. So I grabbed the Roku remote and tried to fast for4ward. A face on the screen grinned unpleasantly at me, waggled a finger, and said “Uh-uh. You have to watch this one through to the end”.
I woke up in a cold sweat with nerves jangling. Still puts me on edge to think of it a bit.

I watched the Weird and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia via Roku and Netflix last week, while visiting family up in the high country. Last night I dreamed I was involved in an auto accident with the Whites. It was pretty strange. :S
I dreamed I was back in the army. I get that one a lot. But this time I happened to mention that I was pretty useless. They told me it didn’t matter that they needed everyone.
I haven’t dreamed that before.
Sounds like the movie was your own nightmare version of Straw Dogs.
Deep symbolism with that T-square.

We watched “Memorial Day” last night. A good one and I highly recommend it.
YOF
“Machine Gun Preacher”
Seriously.
Netflix is amazing.
And that’s why my teevee is set up only to play dvd’s. The Missus’ teevee is connected to an antenna so she gets whatever is broadcast.
The money we don’t spend on cable goes toward broadband intarw3bz, petrol and booze.
