Sandusky gets 30-60 years
I can’t imagine what the big deal is. He’s not a Catholic priest, so it’s ok, right?
Sandusky probably got less than he deserved, but he’ll probably not be treated well in prison. That’s not right. but I doubt if I’ll be very upset about it.
At the root of this bullshit is the deification of sporting teams and their acolytes and etc.
I don’t have a dog in this fight because I don’t get why playing a game is any thing to get excited about. The ide of getting all excited watching a kid play a game is utterly alien to me. Getting excited watching men play a game is the most foolish thing I can imagine. And because people do get excited, those involved get loads of slack over the most amazing things.
Fuckem. I couldn’t care less, but he didn’t pull this off for so long because he was an avrage joe, he did it because people turn a blind eye to a winning coach & etc.
I know a lot of people to whom being raped or molested is not even on the LIST of the most horrid things to have ever happened to them. Move on, everyone. Punish the guy and learn your lesson.
assholes. I feel more like Stadtler and Waldorf every day.

The part of the whole affair I just don’t get is the coach who saw Sandusky with a kid in the shower. If I saw a grown man abusing a pre-adolescent kid in a shower, I’d go in there and start pulling off pieces of his anatomy until he saw reason.
I understand that accusations need to be verified. I also don’t want to see an 18.5 year old in the sex-offender list for getting it on with his 17.75 year old girlfriend. If I see a grown man with a ten year old in, shall we say, a compromising position, there’s no doubt about who is the offender, and I believe I would act accordingly.
Bah.
Yeah, this is what I have trouble with as well.
In the latest development, this assistant coach who acknowledges he did not do the right thing “but I was so shocked” is suing Penn State because they didn’t renew his contract. He claims it’s retaliatory action, it’s a whistleblower lawsuit.
The thing is he didn’t do the right thing when he had the chance … how anyone could put the fear of losing his job above the rape of a child is something I can never understand. In my mind that makes him as guilty as Sandusky (who this assistant coach reportedly went with on a golf outing a week after this incident).
I think lots of people knew about this guy and they covered it all up because he was attached to the football program at Penn State. And that took precedence over everything. Except for Joe Paterno, who apparently was too busy looking at Xs and Os to notice what was going on in his locker room. He’s guilty too but I do believe he did not really know. But it was his locker room and his team and his emeritus coach and he should have known and he should have done something.
There’s no glory accruing to anyone in this. It’s the students at Penn State who now are being punished. And, oh yeah, Jerry Sandusky. Who I hope never sees the light of day again.
Jerry should castrated with a dull deer antler.
All those that turned a blind eye should be fired.
But what the NCAA did to the Penn State athletes past and future is just plain wrong on every level.
And I care not about any “athletic” program.
The title of the post originally came across as 30-06.
…Which I thought would be a good sentence for him.
TBG
Motherfucker ain’t eligible for parole until he’s 98.
Motherfuckers working at Penn who knew of this abomination, need some crazy asshole to go fuckin postal on em.
That is all…
But what the NCAA did to the Penn State athletes past and future is just plain wrong on every level.
I agree 100% and I hold absolutely no brief for Penn State University qua Penn State University. The athletes and the students at PSU didn’t have anything to do with this. All that vindictiveness should have been reserved for the people who were actually guilty, either by commission or omission.
NCAA out of College Athletics.
Agreed on all points.
Back when daughter was at OU, and due to economic problems was cutting salary and/or benefits for teachers, screwing with classes, etc., but they were still spending sixty million dollars for work on the fucking football stadium.
Because “It brings in a lot of money!”
They just don’t mention that it brought in money FOR THE SPORTS PROGRAM, not for anything else…
I just about hit the point of hating college sports.
